Then again, Flamenco Sketches is my favorite song of all time (not counting A Love Supreme) and any album long version of it minus some impact is OK. I have hundreds of MINT albums and ultrasonic clean every new record, and I am crazy crazy picky when it comes to imperfections and surface noise.

In my head I imagined a mostly green vinyl with a subtle spatter of actual gold colored vinyl, which would’ve looked fantastic and would’ve really complimented the album.The standards like "O Tannenbaum" and "What Child Is This" are given the air of slightly dejected late night piano jazz in the solo sections, then a wry groove when the drums and bass join in.

Working primarily with bassist Fred Marshall and drummer Jerry Granelli, Guaraldi brought the animated characters to life with his music, pairing inspired interpretations of traditional yuletide fare (“O Tannenbaum,”“Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,”“What Child Is This”) with original compositions, including the iconic “Linus and Lucy” theme, “Skating,” and “Christmas Time Is Here. Over 55 years later, the Emmy- and Peabody-winning special, continues to be a holiday tradition and has spawned more than two dozen subsequent Peanuts specials. Mixed with the green vinyl, it looks like a toxic waste spill, which would probably be really awesome on a rock album or something.For this one-time only 2022 printing, the jacket has been wrapped in a gold foil while the embossed Peanuts characters and tree have never appeared more striking. in their 2019 round-up of the Greatest Christmas Albums of All Time, Rolling Stone added that the album has “become some of the most visually evocative American music. It’s the kind of realization that, even unconsciously, opens the door for later discoveries in Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk, Robert Glasper, and everything beyond.
