Still don't really know what 'enjoyment' means but I'm gonna use it as an opportunity to wax over the overall manga quality. Older Than They Look: Ely is rather short, which can lead one to think that she's still a child. However, she's the same age as Tokio and Azuma. Now, the characters are very unique, focusing on two seemingly different, yet very similar protagonists. I personally have never read a manga with two different protagonists, but I’m liking it so far. As of now, I am still unsure if Choujin X will surpass Tokyo Ghoul, but I do think that it has certainly stepped out of the shadow of Ishida's previous work at this point. If it continues in this direction I truly think that Choujin X has the possibility to become Ishida's peak. The way Choujins are more free as a concept rather than Ghouls (i.e. not simply based off RC cells and organs, but rather how the character of who someone is impacts their Choujin form. I see this similar to cursed energy from JJK.) Over 50 years have passed since the establishment of autonomous regions began within the world's nations, an outcome initiated from the resulting chaos brought about by "Choujin," individuals with supernatural powers.

Greed: Due to his nature as a Nue Chimera who can collect other Choujin's powers, the pharmacist always wants powers. He needs to remind himself to not overindulge in it. Super-Scream: Mori Hiroto, as a Death Growl Choujin, can shout loud enough to blast people away. His screams are also loud enough to wake Ely and Monoma, despite being quite far away.

The pharmacist always wears a Noh Mask to hide his monstruous face, that looks patched together with Too Many Eyes. Cain and Abel: Sandek is an heroic member of Yamato Mori. His brother Batista aka the Pharmacist is a villainous member of Tower of Mourning, who are Well-Intentioned Extremist. Naturally, when the two groups clashed, they fought agaisnt each other. Evil Parents Want Good Kids: Ely's mother was an infamous thief, but her last wish was for Ely to not turn out like her. Azuma's Choujin powers allows him to manipulate the iron chains around his wrist to create weapons or an armor.

As for anything else, I can't say much as the story is still in its infancy and I do not see it going anywhere anytime soon (unless Jump decides to axe another great manga like they did to Ayashimon...)Choujin X, Vol. 1". "Choujin are bequeathed the form and power most becoming to them" there are many ways to become a Choujin, you can be born one, you can be infected or artificially made into one, whatever the cause, their powers are based on themselves what they want to be or what worldview they have, an obsession or complex. Well-Intentioned Extremist: The mother of the Tower of Mourning, Zora, is willing to kill hundreds of people for a small chance to save Yamato. This also extends to people working directly for her like Chandra. Dreaming of Things to Come: Zora can see the future in her dreams. Her first vision was seeing the memorial procession she was part of being killed by Quiem Mc Mann, the Choujin X at the time. Most of her actions in the present have for objective to prevent a calamity that would destroy Yamato as she saw in one of those dreams. There isn't much to discuss here past the setup, but that setup is solid. The protagonist has a strong design and personality split off from Sui Ishida's usual 'pathetic hero' trope, notably in his relationship to his best friend and their follower/leader characterization. The dynamic between the two is fun and genuine in a way that Tokyo Ghoul fans will feel familiar with, but their contrasting personalities are much more apparent in this case. The final moments between them as of chapter 1 are a legitimately sweet moment of expectation breaking that really emphasize their relationship as a focus rather than a plot element for this series, and I can see a lot of directions for them to take it in.
