About this deal

I did listen to this on audible, and if you are an audible girl, I guarantee you... JASON'S VOICE FOR GRIFFING ruined me. Both narrators on this did such an amazing job. I believe half of my rating for this at this moment is because of how amazing the narration for this book was, of course the good writing also had a role in it. It shouldn’t be like this. Never in my life had I struggled so much to let go of a woman. Especially when there’d been no commitment involved. atp it was just vibes and although i did eat up everything knox said and i can say i enjoyed this, i wouldn’t necessarily recommend this if you’re looking for something amazing but if you want something short and cute i def would!!

This book was a mystery/romance. I went into it completely blind which was the best way to do it. I had no idea where this book was going the entire time and it made for the best experience. The twists and mysteries in this book were so so so good it had me not able to put the book down because I needed to know what was going to happen. Overall it was a really enjoyable read. It is a two POV book which we get to experience from Winn´s and Griffins POVs. The romance was sweet, the murder mystery was really good and with that I am looking foward to dive into Junper Hill.

See a Problem?

Overall Pace of Story: Good until the very end. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well otherwise. I definitely think that that is the only reason I really liked this book because the romance alone would have not made this a complete story. Memphis has left the life of luxury and her overbearing family bhind in New York to make a fresh start for herself and her son Drake, where he can run around freely in the wide open spaces and have a dog. She can count on one hand the happiest to worst days of her life, arriving in Quincy, Montana, happened to be number 4 on her list as one of the worst days. She's frazzled and bone tired unable to settle Drake down who was crying up a storm in his car seat.

memphsisknox were perfect, okay I would not change a single thing about them at all. Knox has officially made his way to my top 5 book bfs, he's literally everything you want in a man, when I first read the synopsis you lost me at "chef" I was already planning the wedding HELLO???? this was honestly such a short read, yes i did find many issues with this book but i am trying to be the embodiment of live laugh love on here <33.Devney Perry books are my happy place. There's just something about them that always feel like a warm blanket on a cold day. Comforting and satisfying. When I need a hit of small town romance with all of the feels and a splash of spice, she's my go to. So I'm so excited to have this new series from her and if book one is anything to go by, we're in for a real treat. This book had a pretty good beginning not only because of the romance but because of the mystery murder subplot.

The strategic location of Juniper Hill give best conveniency to its future residents. With Orchard Road and Marina Bay just minutes drive away, pamper yourself with all the shopping and dining option available. Be it local or International delight, there is something for everyone. Central Business District (CBD), Marina Bay Financial Centre, and Raffles Place are all within close proximity to Juniper Hill to fulfil all the business needs. Griff is not one for entanglements of the heart himself. He's certainly not a relationship guy and he doesn't mess with the locals. So when he finds out that the beauty he shared one night with is the town's new chief of police, he's not exactly thrilled. He's also not entirely thrilled that she is doggedly investigating what is an apparent suicide in a long stream of suicides in the small town. The way Knox took Memphis in and showed her how to be treated with love and sincerity was truthfully so beautiful to read. Knox is hands down a perfect book boyfriend. Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake, one she’s trying to forget. He’s insufferable, arrogant and keeps reminding everyone that she’s an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden property, the two of them have no choice but to cross paths. I liked the sidecharacters, especially Griffin´s siblings and Winn´s pops. The storyline was really sweet and I loved how the epilouge already teased Juniper Hill.Heat level: Alright. They have some tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story. Devney's writing is still great. We did slow down with this book though, in comparison to Indigo Ridge. It’s there, on the fifth worst day of her life, that she meets the handsomest man she’s ever laid eyes on. Knox Eden is a beautiful, sinful dream, a chef and her temporary landlord. With his sharp, stubbled jaw and tattooed arms, he’s raw and rugged and everything she’s never had—and never will. Because after the first worst day of her life, Memphis learned a good life requires giving up on her dreams too. And a man like Knox Eden will only ever be a dream. Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Memphis and Knox’s story. Memphis is a single mother to an infant when she arrives in the small Montana town to work as a housekeeper at the local hotel. She is leaving her wealthy life and family behind for a brand new start. Part of that new start is living in Knox’s loft garage apartment arranged by his sister who manages the hotel. Knox isn’t interested in sharing his space, but after a while he starts to warm up to the young mother and her son. There’s a lot of baggage they have to work through for both of them, some big secrets revealed, some sexy times, and a suspenseful moment…and they get a HEA ending. I think the only characters I really liked without any faults were his siblings because they were funny.
