Caution should be taken in patients with predisposition factors of urinary retention (e.g. spinal cord lesion, prostatic hyperplasia) as cetirizine may increase the risk of urinary retention. Women who are breastfeeding. Small amounts of cetirizine pass into breast milk, so if you're breastfeeding you should only take this medicine on the advice of your doctor. Do not give this medication to a child younger than 2 years old. Always ask a doctor before giving a cough or cold medicine to a child. Death can occur from the misuse of cough and cold medicines in very young children. Ketoconazole (an antifungal to treat fungal infections) or Erythromycin (an antibiotic to treat bacterial infections) Patients with both liver and kidney disease should consult a physician before use.
