About this deal

You genuinely want to hear my opinion and value my perspective. FREE “REASONS WHY I LOVE YOU” PRINTABLE BOOK so to conclude this book was a shitshow and absolutely awful and had it been any longer i would have gouged my eyes out with a pencil. but in all seriousness i was really disappointed when i didn’t like it because i was really looking forward to reading it:( At that time, I had someone that I consider as my significant-other. We've been together since the 1st grade at Elementary School. Yep...almost 21 years together at that time. We're a childhood sweetheart, the same with Holly & Gerry from this book. Emma and Sophia are in high school, navigating the challenges of academics and relationships. Emma struggles with the challenges of competing against Sophia in a student film competition, while also wrestling with romantic feelings for her. Sophia is the first girl Emma has ever liked in that way, and now she worries about things like coming out to her parents as bisexual along with potentially dating her competition. Emma is stressed! Sophia meanwhile is perfectly composed, of course. Is she even taking any of this seriously?

We were also a cool couple. Cool in terms of : we rarely argue because of jealousy. As an example, when I saw a pretty lady, I'm gonna tell him like this: "Eh liat deh arah jam sekian. Cakep ya.". And after looking for some seconds (just seconds. Longer than that then he's in a deep shit. LOL), he's gonna say : " Yep. Nice booty. Very sexy boobs.". Things also happened the other way around. As for the characters, I was definitely team Sophia, but I loved them both regardless! Emma is your classic hopeless romantic who adores rom-coms and just wants to see herself, as a bisexual girl, represented, and so decides to film her own sapphic rom-com. She is also still closeted to her parents and this part of the story meant a lot to me, though I don’t want to talk too much about it for fear of spoiling something! Sophia is dealing with the aftermath of her parents’ divorce and having just returned from Paris, and has decided to create a French-inspired, moody artistic film. There’s a part in the book that really resonated with me when she says that she “…was miserable when I was in France. I spent the whole time lying around in my room and eating my feelings. And France is a good place to do that”. Those lines really made me laugh because when I moved to France I spent a lot of my time crying in the Intermarché and devouring freshly baked baguettes and mustard crisps (I miss those crisps so much)! Her discussions of loneliness were so relatable and I really loved her character a lot! I wish there would’ve been less focus on the straight relationships of this book because I wanted it to centre more around the development of Sophia and Emma’s relationship. I loved the conflict surrounding Sophia and Emma with their parents. That’s also what I wanted the focus on. Holly’s blood boiled and as she spoke her voice shook with rage, “And you wonder why I don’t go out with you. Because of stupid, insensitive remarks like that. Did you ever think for one moment that it might be hard for me? The fact that all you talk about are your bloody wedding arrangements and how happy you are and how excited you are and how you can’t wait to spend the rest of your life with Tom in wedded bliss. In case you hadn’t noticed, Denise, I didn’t get that chance because my husband died. But I am very happy for you, really I am.”

if you think i could resist reading a sapphic book with 1) a hate-to-love romance and 2) a film festival...you clearly think of me too highly. i am weak, okay? i see the cutest cover ever and hear it's sapphic and i am craving the book. that's about 80% of my personality at this point. Of course, like Holly & Gerry, we could finish each other's sentences. We too could read other's mind. I know him more than I know myself and vice versa. That's what 20-years-of-relationship did to us. Your charming ways! It doesn’t matter if we are laughing or arguing, it comes out and makes us both smile.I knew he was annoyed with my constant calls mainly cause I called him while he was driving. But I was selfish that time and I didn't care, so I just kept calling. When Emma learns of a film festival competition which could lead to college scholarships and an internship in the film industry, she instantly convinces her best friends to help make a movie. As a bisexual teen and a huge romantic, she’s never found a rom-com that makes her feel seen, so that’s her idea for a film. I loved the idea and setting behind this. The fact that the two main characters give such wonderful representation fills me up with so much comfort and joy. As the months pass, each new message fills her with encouragement and sends her on a new adventure. With Gerry's words as her guide, Holly slowly embarks on a journey of rediscovery. I believe that this is the best for him and for everyone around him (Actually I still can't see why, but I just wanna believe that coz God always makes the best plan for His people).

Well, somehow she got a job in a magazine (let's ignore the fact how unqualified she was for it, but whatever) as the only person responsible for advertisement. She got so good at it, her boss decided to ask her to cover an event and write an article about it (wwwwhat???). At that point I was very much convinced the author has never worked in her life and had no idea about how magazines functioned either. How Long Does a Lovebook take to Make?
