About this deal

Be your child's partner in play and get them ready for kindergarten! LEGO DUPLO WORLD supports Multi-Touch, so your family can play together and on the go for shared games, learning and adventures. Pairing up the play with some reading of these fabulous digger books outside, would make the best playtime ever!

LEGO DUPLO WORLD is carefully aligned with the highly-regarded Headstart Early Learning Outcomes Framework to ensure it’s age-appropriate and meets the developmental needs of kids ages 2-5 years old. Each activity targets key learning goals for toddlers and preschool kids. Having never made slime before earlier this year I will gladly say this is now in my absolute Top 10 favourite Sensory Play Ideasand is also wonderful for Fine Motor Skills developmenttoo. It doesn’t quite match play dough yet, not yet at least, but has many wonderful benefits for sure! As they played they counted aloud up to 10 and were naturally learning about 1:1 correspondence as they did so. The good thing about making slime is that it doesn’t have to be too exact to still work, so there’s definite room for experimentation here!Gel food colouring (weirdly, we found liquid food colouring altered the recipe and stopped it working!) What we discovered was that it didn’t really matter how much shaving cream you add, it still works fine. Indeed, the more you add the bigger and better it gets! To the gravel pit we added one set of gorgeous, small construction vehicles and a few larger pebbles and stones and that was all we needed for the play to begin!

For older kids you could time the fine motor skills game using a mini sand timer or make two sets and race them against each other! If you loved this Spring idea for a fine motor skills game then you might also love this huge collection of Fine Motor Skills Activitieshere! And the full archives here. Then they played the bunny eats the carrots game! Pinching the peg/ pin together strengthens the small hand muscles which are important in writing and other fine motor skill development.

Into a clean bowl add 1 cup of the PVA glue and 1 teaspoon of the Bicarbonate of Soda. Mix them together. Make an adorable fine motor skills game for kidswith this eat the carrots DIY fun tray! Simple to put together and fantastic for developing hand strength, hand- eye coordination and counting too. We coloured our fluffy slime recipe with pink food colouring and a huge heap of fine pink glitter too which added a little extra WOW!It felt wonderful to plunge our hands into and, sheer delight-OH-delight, to make squelchy rude noises with as well! (HUGE hilarity!)

Looking for a fun variation on the super simple slime recipe? Try this awesome fluffy slime recipe for extra big amounts of sensory playtime fun! They really enjoyed the size and fluffiness of this and of course all wanted to have their own batches in their favourite colours too!

LEGO® Friends Mobile Tiny House

With Easter fast approaching we made some very simple yet pretty Easter egg shaped cards using one of our favourite art methods, printing! Printmaking is so satisfying for young artists and depending on the materials used can create a huge range of effects very easily. I heard that adding shaving cream to the usual recipe would increase the volume of the slime and make it super fluffy to play with. Well, we had to experiment with that idea right away of course! Decorate simple Easter egg cards using Lego Duplo to make a lovely pattern and creative effect! A perfect printing tool for little hands to hold and manipulate easily, with satisfying results. Earlier this year I published our Easy UK Slime Recipe which I was thrilled to have finally made with the kids and we have since made lots of variations, including this Galaxy Slime version, which was fun!
