So, if I'm in my 53x18 rolling at 30kph on a flat section of virtual road, then transition onto a hill, even though my actual bike's wheel will continue to rotate at an actual speed of 30kph, at say, 200 watts, that 200 watts will only put me at perhaps 15kph on the hill, so my virtual wheel will be rolling slower. Since he's heavier than me, this makes sense, even if Matteo's power seems a little high for the difference. For a rider who will only have one trainer they'd like to use at home and races, this is an important consideration. He thoroughly enjoys moulding the Kinetic Rock into rock shapes, picking them up with the digger and then crushing them with the rock crushed.

We’ve not had any of the Kinetic products before so have not experienced the feeling of Kinetic Sand. The packaging actually transforms into a play box which is designed to look like a construction site. Personally, I appreciated the more subtle play in the system, both vertical and horizontal, than the wild wobbling you can achieve if you want.

However, my caveat here is that I'm not sure whether the benefit of the rocking is actually muted to some degree for riders who are already quite smooth on the bike. He likes to watch gold rush on TV so he started to pretend it was gold before hiding and finding the sliver gem which also comes with the set.

As a rider who does not wobble around much, it could be that there is less potential benefit for me. The accessories are all plastic toys which could easily be bought anywhere and the box play scene is just cardboard which won’t last long. The power meter accuracy is within +/- 2%, but the Wahoo team is aiming to try and improve that (though that’s still pretty impressive).The Tacx Neo, while it looks similar, has a small amount of give at the axle while maintaining a rock-solid footing overall.
