I loved the animated series as well so I know what you mean, and Spidey's been a favorite of mine since I was about five or six. I'm a little confused about why they teased Mary Jane for years without showing her face or letting her meet Peter. I love Romita's work (of course, of course), but Ditko still drew the Spider-Man I think of when I think of Spider-Man.
