About this deal

THE site of a tragic car crash has been dubbed one of the creepiest places in the UK after FIFTY reported sightings of the same ghost. In 1972 Bob Vandepeer said he gave a lift to a girl on the hill only to later turn around and discover the hitchhiker had vanished in the back of the car. The 22-year-old was killed with two friends in a road traffic accident near the bridge over the Old Chatham Road the day before she was due to get married on on November 19 of that year. We were filming a murder scene and one of the actors was looking at his phone and we've got the camera up behind him and this evil nasty face is on the phone.

All around Britain, terrified motorists are reported weird happenings, unexplained figures and even phantom TRAINS. Several accidents have been caused by sightings of a hunched-over figure limping at the side of the road along the Devil’s Highway. This 30 mile long road is a main route from Rochester to Hawk Hurst and is home to Britain’s most famous “phantom hitchhiker” form of haunting. The vicinity of Blue Bell Hill is also home to the remains of two neolithic long barrows named Kit's Coty House and Little Kit's Coty House, which I was not able to visit on this occasion, but which I will aim to visit and photograph next time I am in the area.

But perhaps most notoriously, Blue Bell Hill, a main road which runs between Maidstone and Medway, is one of Kent's spookiest locations. Mystery of more than 50 'sightings' of ghostly British bride who died on eve of wedding Local legend has it that the ghost of 22-year-old bride Suzanne Browne, who died in a traffic accident on the eve of her wedding in 1965, haunts Blue Bell Hill.

He believes it is an urban legend and newspapers reported it wrong because the press desperately wanted it to be one of the women who died in 1965. One site, The Ghost Hunt UK, claims that Sally in the Wood has been the scene of eight fatal car crashes in the past decade, most of which remain unexplained.
