Developed and tested over 18 months, this stunning sugarpaste offers the smoothest fondant yet for a flawlessly satin-smooth icing in a fade-free black. The elasticity of this paste makes it ideal for taller or more unusually shaped cakes and can be rolled out extra thin for good coverage, without tearing or cracking. It could be that a small mixing batch wasn't properly mixed and your block didn't have enough gum tragacanth and/or issues with hot weather. I had a bucket of Massa Ticino which was also softer than normal so I really think this is to do with the hot weather.We'll arrange replacements no problem at all for you as we'd be keen for you to experience Couture as it should be. My advice is stick with it as the extra effort is all worth it for the quality of finish this icing gives you. I did need a lot of the colouring because it was a purply-black rather than a true black, but I didn't have any problems and this was definitely the best looking cake covering I've ever done. sealed packs per box - please note that because of an international shortage of suitable raw material, the box design changed in 2020 during the COVID pandemic - the underside of the current style of box folds together (ie is not taped) so is not quite as strong as the original design. Couture is great to work with and some of the girls in the group say it's even better since Cake Stuff did some improvements. It feels much better quality and much less sticky than I've used before and I shall not be going back to the old brand.
