About this deal

Enjoyed going back to the wonderful cast of characters who feel so real and catching up on what they are up to. This, the fourth instalment in my Buckingham Hotel series, is due to be released on the 11th November, and I believe I’m as excited now as I was when my first novel was published – I so hope you’re going to enjoy it! ANTON DU BEKE, household name and all-round entertainer, brings the charm and style he's famous for to his writing. I also would have liked one more chapter on Raymond and Nancy starting the next part of their lives together but hopefully this has been saved for another book! In 2009, Du Beke said that his dance partner Laila Rouass "looked like a paki" after she had arrived at rehearsal with a spray tan.

Nancy knows that her husband Raymond will want to go and fight in the war as much as she will miss him she knows she will be supportive. They all have issues and most of the story involved everything from profiteering to mental health problems, poor family relationships and greed. There are a few new characters to this book and actually overall there are lots of characters to keep track of however there is a helpful page of the characters' names and who they are at the beginning of the book which you can refer to and wish more authors would do this.

Anthony Paul Beke (born 20 July 1966), known professionally as Anton Du Beke ( / d uː ˈ b ɛ k/), is a British ballroom and Latin dancer, author and television presenter, best known for being a professional dancer and a judge on the BBC One celebrity dancing show Strictly Come Dancing. I particularly liked Mrs Moffat, always on hand to dole out sage advice and proffer a much coveted barley sugar or two! Anton Du Beke – the King of Ballroom, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ royalty, and household name – is one of this generation’s all-round entertainers.

The fourth in the series, and although I'd only read the first one so I'd got a bit to catch up on having missed books 2 and 3, it really didn't take too long to get thoroughly into where and who the characters were. As usual they approach a member of the team who they feel might be a weak link and easily exploited. With characters you can fall for and highly detailed settings, I’d definitely recommend this one if you like historical fiction with dancing! Newlywed Nancy knows that her brave husband, debonair dancer Raymond de Guise will want to fight for his country and enlist.Speaking more about his new novel, the author said: “They used to open the ballrooms during the Second World War and lots of the hotels tried to stay open… The Savoy had a bunker underneath the hotel in the cellars, and they’d have an orchestra down there. Learn the American Smooth — Cha Cha Cha — Foxtrot — Quickstep — Rumba — Tango — Waltz — you’ll find all these and more in my Elevenses With Anton series… then have a go at Fit At 50 if you’re looking for a home workout to try!
