About this deal

Longevity is well below average, as I sprayed this only about 2 hours ago and can barely smell it, even when I stick my nose right up against my skin. It's doesn't play in the niche league, but I can clearly feel that the Miyake brand gave more freedom of creation than usual to Jacques Cavallier compared to the rest of the line. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and this scent reminds me of endless grey, rainy days, and the protracted undertones of melancholy that distill in one's psyche in such a climate. Herbaceous, extremely robust, slightly salty, and exactly the opposite of the complaint "Not ANOTHER generic blue fragrance!

Objectively this could be a straight up mix between Bvlgari Aqua edt, Armani aqua di gio edt, and Versace man eau fraiche. This fragrance smells oddly like a spicerack on a shed in the middle of a forest full of cypress trees during the rain.First, the bottle is amazing, from the angular shape to its colour, it's almost a "Mugler" type of bottle. a lonely walk through an urban greenway, misty rain coating the conifers and rosemary bushes surrounding you while your travel mug of citrus-flavored green tea steams up toward your nostrils. Im looking to so much non possitive feedback about this one and I truly beleive its a kind of misunderstood piece of art and not really susprised: probably due to expectations based on Isseys massive success on the original fragrance, but thats common to happen on flankers right? There's a nice sweetness of tonka or vanilla moreso than amber that helps to balance out the green woody sharpness.

For many, it can be loathed, because of the mixture of juxtaposing notes and a super potent, multi-herbal, and even medicinal opening. The problem is this is so strong even in the dry down that I had to wash my clothes and have a shower to get the dry down smell off. Taking their advice with an open mind, it took me a few weeks wearing LB to really gain an understanding and appreciation of this fragrance. I totally LOVE this scent, however I must admit that I initially thought the opening was disgusting and figured I wasted my money, BUT THEN the rosemary starts coming though and everything changes and continues to flourish to something gorgeous. That is like with the design of Audi or Bmw, too many drive these marks and give thus to a actually beautiful product the stamp to arbitrarily and make by the Mainstream the product destroy.

Do not be fooled by its "Blue" naming or color, this is not your typical blue or freshie cologne, it has very dark earthy dirty and smoky incense notes that will pop soon after the opening faded, dont think this is appropriate for summer or even warm spring, with that said I do think its decent and interesting perfume, will satisfy some acquired tastes as long as you know what you're getting yourself into. I've decided that the "bleu" in Bleu d'Issey refers to a feeling rather than color, or, in fragrance terms, aquatic (which it certainly is not). Cool winds blowing through patches of herbs and spices, an almost overwhelming mélange kept in check by the salted breeze. The first day I arrived, I needed gym clothes and since mine weren't there in time, my dad went into town and bought me some quickly even though his flight was actually almost leaving.By the way I don't really see it as a flanker and I doubt Mr Miyake or the perfumer did either, indeed most of the Issey scents aimed towards men have the words 'L'eau -(something)- d'Issey pour homme' in the name, this was something altogether new, followed by just one flanker, the 'fraiche' version, as I think it was a little too different to what people were expecting, hence why the two scents have since been axed. I don’t think it’s as cliche as some reviewers are claiming but yes, it’s not as groundbreaking as the original l’eau d’issey. On my skin I just compare it with Bleu de Chanel (probably only because of the similarity of its name).

I'm still getting my thoughts settled on this, there are things I like about it, but also things that I dislike about it. What a projection hut after sometime and sillage is outstanding like u leave masculine floral kind of fragrance in the way when pass by. The direct opposite of that are the often fairly conceptual perfumes (the majority of Comme des Garcon perfumes for example, to stay in Japan) which almost seem like they want to show of their skills rather than their emotive quality.Dirty Blue Leather, its a very odd pairing for a fragrance, it has some freshness up top but then it hits you with heavy dark tones right after, may not be as easy to process for casual noses, this is def not your typical casual daytime blue or freshie. I am yet to come across a scent that captures rosemary this good, like the smell when you bruise rosemary leaves between your fingers.
