About this deal

The feature lists are pretty much irrelevant, and it comes down to what the key feel and sound reproduction is like, and how long they last. We compared it against much more established brands and it impressed us more than many more expensive models. We act as a credit broker not a lender, offering credit products provided exclusively by Klarna Bank AB UK branch (BR020956), a branch of Klarna AB (556737-0431) which is authorised and regulated by the Swedish Financial Services Authority. The AXD2 features 88 full size piano keys with a Graded Real Hammer Action Keyboard (RHA), replicating the feel and performance of a high quality acoustic grand piano.

For these models, I prefer the Yamaha feel, but opinion seem pretty divided on this forum between the Yamaha and Casio.Other features include: Digital Effects reverb, Chorus with level control, Layer function, Keyboard Split, Master Tune, Key Transpose and Midi In/Out for computer interaction/recording. The YDP144 also features a two track recording system, so you can easily record the left and right hand parts to your song! The YDP-141 is pretty reasonable, but probably not as favoured as the YDP-161, because the 161 steps up to the higher grade of keyboard (GH rather than GHS) and so stands out as a good value option. For example, I love combining strings with piano for ballad songs or movie themes, and I didn’t think this piano would allow that feature.

They are not mainstream models so not many people, if any, on here will be able to provide you some thoughts. Sounds: The D2 has a new 'Dual Split-Velocity Piano Sound Source' (DSVP), that offers particularly long samples of sound, allowing the piano sound to sustain naturally. It has a range of voices and styles to enhance your music, and a range of settings to make it totally customisable. It has a new 'Dual Split-Velocity Piano Sound Source' (DSVP), that offers particularly long samples of sound, allowing the piano sound to sustain naturally. As well as great piano sounds, the D2 comes with 128 voices – including grand piano, organ, bass, strings and more. Other useful features that you can use in lessons include a two track sequencer (enabling instant playback and virtual duets). My teachers' piano also has 3 pedals and I think this will make the transition from digital piano to real piano easier when I play on uprights in my teachers studio, etc.
