About this deal

The first book Happy Hatchday is all about friendships and birthday parties.. and the second, Give Peas a Chance, all about that well-known subject of the FUSSY EATER…. To celebrate the launch of these gorgeous illustrated books, HarperCollins Children’s Books asked us to create a printable craft for kids to make… We decided these Pop Up Dinosaur Junior puppets would be just the thing! Make your dinosaurs hatch and then create some of your own Dinosaur Juniors. This pop up book has been designed as an all-round activity learning experience, to get the most out of story time. Read aloud the lively rhymes that create the amusing story for your kids to follow, and play a guessing game of who is behind the flap! The rhymes and the easy-to-read text help preschoolers remember the new words they are learning for early language development. This is the perfect coffee table book for any dinosaur enthusiast. Don’t let the simple cover fool you. Inside you’ll find gorgeous pop-up illustrations, fun facts, and anecdotes about the history of paleontology, like the Bone Wars (mentioned in the Crichton novel above) or the Victorian New Year’s Dinner held inside the belly of a dinosaur skeleton.

Likely to pass this gem of my early childhood onto another kid in the family, I decided I would spend some time rereading it. While some facts have become a bit outdated — as the author puts it, "We all make mistakes, paleontologists included" — it holds up pretty well. Most of the changing science is just clarifications that have been made since, not outright falsehoods. This mini-encyclopedia presents a great introduction for many young folks to the lost world. Applicability of cancellation rights: Legal rights of cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations available for UK or EU consumers do not apply to certain products and services. Called the “Best Dinosaur Biography” by Scientific American and rated one of the best Science books of 2018, The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs is the most up-to-date account of the age of dinosaurs out there. The book charts not only the history of dinosaurs on this planet, but also the work of Steve Brusatte, a young American paleontologist at the University of Edinburgh. It is an interesting, engaging, and highly educational read. NOTE: With the noteworthy exception of Paige Williams and The Dinosaur Artist, this list is made up of primarily white male authors. That seems to be most of what is available out there in terms of dinosaur books for adults. If you have any recommendations for books written by a more diverse group of writers, we’d love to hear them! Full of fascinating facts and lighthearted good humor, this breathtaking book includes fascinating, up-to-the-minute information about popular dinosaurs as well as many lesser-known varieties. With each of six spreads featuring one spectacular, large pop-up as well as booklets of smaller pop-ups and text, ENCYCLOPEDIA PREHISTORICA: DINOSAURS is a magnificent display of paper engineering and creativity — an astonishing book that will be read, admired, and treasured forever. This book is an A to Z record of everything you have ever wanted to know about more than 300 dinosaur varieties. The information is pulled from many, many different sources – not just the annals of paleontology. Pim includes information on anatomy, astronomy, evolution, and mythology to complete the record. DINOSAURS―THE GRAND TOUR: EVERYTHING WORTH KNOWING ABOUT DINOSAURS FROM AARDONYX TO ZUNICERATOPS BY KEIRON PIM Goods that by reason of their nature, cannot be returned - (Items such as underwear, where the 'hygiene patch' has been removed, or cosmetics where the seal has been broken).

John Bell Hatcher is responsible for finding a number of the most famous dinosaur skeletons out there, with many of his finds housed at Yale, Princeton, The Peabody Museum, and the Carnegie Museum. His discoveries, many made in Wyoming during the 1890s, are only part of what made this man a legend. Dingus explores the life of this “real life Indiana Jones” in this thoroughly engaging biography.KING OF THE DINOSAUR HUNTERS: THE LIFE OF JOHN BELL HATCHER AND THE DISCOVERIES THAT SHAPED PALEONTOLOGY BY LOWELL DINGUS
